Completed Projects
Over the years the Maumee Rotary Service Foundation has sponsored numerous projects. Some of the more notable community projects include the following:
Creation of Safety City with the Maumee Police Department - a program designed to teach preschoolers safety techniques.
Construction of a multipurpose building at Fred Rolfe Athletic Park
Special playground equipment for the physically challenged at Wayne Trail Elementary School
Series of improvements at the Wolcott House Historical Complex
Purchase of a transportation van and furnishings for the Maumee Senior Center
Creation of a children's area at the Maumee Library modeled after Sidecut Metro Park
Created a "Windows on Wildlife" viewing area at Sidecut Metro Park
Provided financial assistance for construction of the Nuzum Family House. The Nuzum Family cares for over 20 special needs children
Worked with a local church to provide financial assistance to a world organization working in Boznia to remove land mines.
